You said: I think we need a real silent area. A silent area without displaying books as most of us need to talk when choosing books. Thank you  Helpful people at the library and variable resources such as books, computers and journals . We said: Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. In Luton's current building to have any silent working it has to be on a floor with book stock. In the new library (opening in L Block July 2016) there are silent room on levels  4, 5 & 6. These will behind a glass wall away from the bookstock. This should make maintaining the silence requirement a lot easier..
