Referencing

I have been recommended Ref Works by a tutor. However, I have just tried to reference the national curriculum as a practice and the Bibliography setting is no better than the Word one. Is there a way I can make it more accurate or is it just a case that I will have to alter every reference?

This is the bibliography example:
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, 2013. National Curriculum: primary curriculum. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-curriculum-in-england-primary-curriculum: Department Of Education.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your enquiry. It’s because you haven’t selected the right output style.  You have Harvard – British Standard selected and we use Cite them Right - Harvard.

Go to bibliography on the grey tool bar – select output style manager – search for Cite then Right - Harvard and use the green arrow to move into your favorites.

If you are still having problems please get in touch.

Luton Library - Lockers

Still no lockers - with no real explanation for the delay - despite acknowledging the issue in a previous email
I wanted to securely dispose of some printing (to recycle as well) but there aren't those types of bins anymore, the old library had them!

Thanks for your enquiry. As I said on 1st August. It won't help but there a number of people  who are disappointed about the lack of lockers at Luton Library - including staff!
Unfortunately there has been a problem with the installation and so the lockers' availability does not have a due date I am afraid.
Please be assured that staff are doing everything they can to get a swift solution but - as you say- 12 months later there has not been any progress. I can only apologise. There has been no change in this position to date although it is still being followed up.

Regarding secure disposal of printing, I am not sure what you mean. The new library (like the old one) has green and red bins on every floor of the library - at least two pairs per floor. The green bin is for recycling. The library has never offered secure disposal ie confidential waste disposal and is not in position to offer this now. I would advise you to rip any confidential printing up and put it in the green recycling bins

Vending Machine

We need vending machines

The University is negotiating a vending presence in the Bedford and Luton Libraries and it is hoped they will be in place early in 2018.

ATM

We require an ATM

Outside there is an ATM near the main entrance to the University on Park Street. There is also an ATM outside the Arndale. There are no plans for an ATM in the library in the near future.

University staff and and students may use the ATM in the Campus Centre.

Loans record

I would like to know if it is possible to obtain a list of books that I have borrowed since my start in February.

To get your Borrower History go into the Renewals tab of the Library Catalogue

Sign in with your usual ID & Password

You will be taken to a My Record screen to the left of your name on that screen there will be a button called “Borrowing History” click on that and the list of your library loans will come up

If you have any problems please ring 01582 743488 during staffed hours (8.30 – 18.00 Monday – Friday)

Going forward I would advise you to record all your library loans on a Refworks account

Sorry I cannot be of more help on this occasion

I am currently doing my studies for my professional qualification, and I have been unable to find somewhere where I am able to study after work, and I was wondering if it is possible to use your library facilities.
