We said: Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. In Luton's current building in
order to have any silent working it has to be on a floor with book stock. Unfortunately
this brings with it some noise. We do our best to manage this but it doesn't always work.
In the new library (opening in L Block July 2016) there are silent room on levels 4, 5 & 6.
These will behind a glass wall away from the bookstock. This should make maintaining the
silence requirement a lot easier.. |
