Bedford - specialist editing software

Had access to Mac Pc's at the Bedford Pohill Campus for Music and Movie editing software not available on normal windows PC's. Access would benefit many units across many courses and years and help us complete a higher standard of work. 

Thank you for your enquiry. I understand your frustration in the fact that the Music and Movie editing software you require does not work on Window XP. The software needs the 64 bit version of Windows 7 to run
Regarding MACs there are disadvantages with these machines when they are networked - not least the fact that they cannot access the U drive on the student network. None the less Learning Resources is waiting hear the outcome of a bid for some MACs for the Bedford Campus. Unfortunately we do not have a timescale for this. 
The University will be moving to Windows 7 sometime 2014 and the software will work on this on all LR's machines. I am sorry there is nothing more I can do at this stage.
