The library tends to be so noisy especially on peak hours. unnecessary noise in pc areas it becomes like a cafe. I understand there are discussion booths set up but I hope noise can be minimized. It can be so distracting at times.I hope the University Library can provide the students a TURNITIN like services or an equivalent to be able to check the assessment essays for possible unintentional plagiarism or grammatical errors before submission.
The Luton Campus Library is spacious, there is sufficient workspace for individuals as well as groups. Moreover, the staffs are approachable and helpful. The facilities are up to date to latest technologies and the website links are beneficial. Overall, it is a great privilege to all UOB students.
Many thanks for passing on your appreciation.
Everyone's personal learning style is different and may conflict with everyone else's. Fortunately Luton Campus Library has a full range of study environments to - hopefully - suit all our students.
Be aware that some floors are specifically zoned for social study. Inevitably these floors are going to be noisy.
I would strongly advise you study on level 4, 5 or 6 which would suit you better. If you still find the open areas on these floors too noisy you can choose to study in the silent study rooms which are monitored.
The Library acts on University policy and strategy so if there is a TURNTIN development the Library will support that as advised.
