I am enquiring about the possibility of the university
buying some books.

understand your query so I will answer your question with two options:
If you mean will the University buy your own old text books - Learning
Resources does not buy second hand books. May I suggest that you contact the SU and see
if they can help you?
If you mean that you have a suggestion of some titles the
University may want to buy - if there's enough budget - may I direct you to
