Logging on takes ridiculously longer than it should

Thank you for your comment. Logging onto a network PC will always take longer than logging onto a PC or mobile device at home. I do know that 24 Feb the University was experiencing problems with its internet provider so that would have exacerbated the length of the log on time. The problems around 24th Feb have been resolved now so log on times will have improved - they will not however - be instant.
