Resources

I do not feel we have enough online resources for ebooks and ejournals. Other universities have access to significantly more than we do at our university. The Wiley Online journals would have been useful during my course, however we cannot access them. Furthermore, Proquest ebooks would have been useful for a number of assignments, as there are significantly more ebooks than we currently have access to.

Thank you for your raising your concerns. I am sorry to hear that you are struggling to access ebooks and ejournals.  We do have access to a significant number of ebooks in education and all recommended reading is regularly checked for ebook availability.  Similarly we subscribe to all the major education databases (Education Research Complete, British Education Index and ERIC) that gives access to almost 5,000 journal titles.

If you cannot access material that is required reading for your course please let your academic liaison librarian know know and she can check availability.

If it’s for dissertation research then you can use Document Supply to acquire items that are not held in stock.
