Luton - study environment

I find Luton Library very noisy Not enough is being done to keep noise levels down. My suggestion will be to dedicate an entire floor to silent study area as in Bedford or the old Luton Library and stricter rules on keeping noise levels to a minimum should be imposed. It is not very conducive for postgraduate study with that amount of noise.

Thank you for your enquiry. There are 3 dedicated Silent Rooms in Luton Library and the noise in these rooms is monitored. They are on level 4, level 5 and level 6. Please make sure you use these areas for silent study. Please do not confuse the Group Study rooms (maximum of 7 people) with the Silent Study rooms - individual study carrels minimal PCs - please ask staff if you are unsure.

If you are using these spaces and they are as noisy as you describe please report it to staff on level 1 Customer Service desk or overnight to security on the ground floor
