Luton Library - cleanliness

I am writing concerning the current state of the library. It is really bad when we get to the library to study and the tables, floor and the computer stands are all dirty. I know that who make that dirty is the students but we should not be affected by the wrong actions of some. For me, the library is an important space for studying and if this place it is not tidy, I cannot study there and in my position are a lot of students. Hope that this problem could be solved in a short time so that we can use the most of the amazing library. Thank you for your time

Thank you for raising your concerns. I share your concerns. We have a marvelous team of cleaners who do their best to keep the library clean. We also have a code of conduct which states

Food and drink is limited to reduce waste on library floors and lingering smells
Customers must not deface or otherwise damage books, equipment, furniture, the fabric of the building or other items of Learning Resources property.
All Learning Resources customers are expected to help maintain a pleasant working environment by clearing away rubbish appropriately in the landfill and recycling bins provided.

Unfortunately if some customer choose not to abide by these requirements we do not have a "house keeping" team to clear up behind them.

I have passed your comments to our Facilities team to see if they have any suggestions
