Cold silent rooms. In
Luton Library although the new library is great the silent rooms are very cold
therefore I cannot study there and outside of the silent rooms is just too
noisy to study, as a result I rarely go to the library for studying.
Thank you for raising your concerns. There are thermometers in each of the silent study rooms. Staff will be monitoring temperatures during the day but overnight if temperatures fall below 19 degrees it would be helpful if students emailed staff to let them know - stating date time and temperature reading.
The building management system for Luton library has set the temperatures between 19 - 23 degrees centigrade. If the building's temperature falls between these values then there is nothing that can be done. If temperatures fall below 19 dgrees then it needs to be reported to staff to be followed up with our Facilities team.
