I am strongly not happy about transporting around this building. As there is only one lift working I wait a long time as well as the stairs not in access use. This needs to be improved, changed and maintained correctly.
Thank you for raising your concern. May I apologise on behalf of the University for the inconvenience. One lift is definitely working so please be sure to use that one while we resolve the issues with the other lift.
The lift that is out of order is waiting for a replacement part which is still on order. This is being chased up by our Facilities department.
Today the stairs have been closed in sections as essential maintenance of the stairwell lights is being completed. This is unavoidable as the Library is open 24/7 x 365 and I can only apologise for the inconvenience caused
