Luton Library Sunday library temperature

Library becomes very hot and stuffy in the warmer weather and no ability to turn down heating/open windows etc. Group rooms especially are unbearably hot, with 29 degrees showing on wall thermometer today. We have therefore been unable to study in the rooms we had planned and booked due to the heat. 

Thank you for raising your concerns. You will agree that this weekend's temperatures were unseasonably high. None the less our building management system was experiencing a few problems with the chillers.
Staff were keeping records of temperatures over the course of the weekend.  Students were advised to keep doors open and keep hydrated.  The problem was help desked and is being addressed.
