The ban if found talking I find is childish. As well as short notice. My pal touched my shoulder and we got told off.
Thank you for raising your concerns with me. In 2014- 15 a Silent Study floor was build in response to student requests. This has been a welcomed and appreciated addition to the study environment at Bedford.

Human nature being what it is the silent requirement on this floor is reinforced with electronic monitoring and staff patrols. If staff find anyone making a noise they get a verbal warning the first time. If it happens again Learning Resources' 3 strike sanctions come into place. These are measures to promote the university's RESPECT values, they can be a precursor to the University's formal disciplinary process but fortunately it doesn't usually go that far.

Bedford has a well appointed group study area on level 1 and I would advise you to use this space if you want to talk.
