Bedford - PCs on silent floor

Do students really need to bring their laptops to the silent floor and seat in front of a pc that they are not gona use? It is a small number of pcs available so was great if this was avoided. The library staff is so instructed to shut up students, do they could be instructed to talk to students about this?

Thank you for raising your concerns. Its a good point. Some students do use two (or more devices to study so they may not be using the desktop the moment you see them but they are alternating between their laptop and the desktop.

I will discuss this with the library manager at Bedford to see if there is a way forward with signage.
