The library (especially the silent area) is too cold to work in
Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. I apologise for the discomfort and inappropriate working temperature in the IT Suite.
The problem has been reported to Facilities and they are looking into it.
In the meantime I would advise you to work in another area of the LRC there are plenty of PCs on the other floors

Easter due dates
I want to ask about the Easter vacation apparently I can't get extension for the books I borrowed during this time. I could be running the risk if someone needs the books. I have to renew them, that's alright but I'm heading back home during Easter
Thank you for raising your concerns with me. I have checked your account and have noticed that there are a variety of due dates on the items you have borrowed namely March: 16th,17th 18th & 23rd as you have only renewed those items 3 times I would advise you to go on line on those dates and renew them again. Make a note of the due dates and if necessary renew them again (if you are not back in Uni by the new due date)

The items you borrow from the University are your responsibility while they are on loan to you. Please take care not to damage them, do not write on or mark books in any way and, return them on time.

I hope that helps. Enjoy your Easter break.

Butterfield - Study Environment
The library at Butterfield is often very noisy which makes it difficult to work. Can we have a designated quiet area or at least enforce the general concept of a library which is not as a social club.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. There is no silent or even quiet study provision at Butterfield sadly, due to lack of space. I would encourage you to come into Luton to use the Park Square LRC which has longer service hours with
24/7 x 365 opening
nearly 300 pcs
levels 2 & 3 are designated Silent working areas
and the University bus will bring you into Luton

Butterfield Silent Study
Butterfield Campus library not conducive to quiet study. Noise & interruptions from office staff and other students. No control systems seem to be in place
